At our June 2023 program we took a look at the electric trolley car, the Narcissus, one of the cars on the Portland-Lewiston Interurban line, and the memories of Eliot/South Berwick teacher Mildred Obrey, whose recorded memories were used in the writing of Maine author Jean Flahive’s book “Teddy Roosevelt, Millie, and the Elegant Ride”.
